Brandy in the world

Products marketed under the “Brandy” designation totaled approximately 170 million 9-liter cases in 2019, equivalent to nearly 7 million hectoliters of pure alcohol. It’s noteworthy that a significant majority of these brandies (about 80%) do not solely originate from grapes and wine but are crafted from a variety of agricultural raw materials, thus reflecting the agricultural traditions and specificities of different countries.
