From vineyard to market, numerous regulations must be adhered to by professionals. The foundational text remains the European Regulation 787/2019.
FFB members also have access to a best practice charter aimed at establishing a reference framework for the use of the “French Brandy” designation, the utilization of the term “France,” and the aging indications on Brandy labels. It is applicable to both bottlers and bulk shippers of Brandy. By adhering to this charter, FFB members commit to following all its guidelines. Compliance with this charter does not exempt members from adhering to European and national regulations, such as European Regulation 2019/787 and the INCO Regulation 1169/2011.
